Description

Another solution for RFID reader. This is a super compact RFID reader with integrated antenna, the only drawback would be the pinout are 2mm pitch to pitch (like XBee). Not to worry, we have the breakout board ready. Check out the datasheet, the reading distance is 20cm?? From our testing, it can read the 125KHz RFID card about 7cm range.

The RFID (radio-frequency identification) is the wireless non-contact use of radio-frequency electromagnetic fields, for the purposes of identifying and tracking tags attached to objects. This is the ID-20LA, a very simple to use RFID reader module from ID Innovations. Power the module, hold up a 125kHz card, and get a serial string output containing the unique ID of the card.

* A specific breakout board is included in the package.
