Description
Finally user can enjoy another simple yet reliable wireless communication for robots. XBee OEM RF module has been used in many robotics applications world wide to offer wireless communication, point to point and also mesh network. No more searching for surrounding device and request for connection, it can send data wireless after powering up without any extra configuration. Additionally, the communication range is very good (100 meters) for a low powered device (1mW). Its small form factor saves valuable board space. No configuration is necessary for out-of-box RF communications. XBee module comes with application software to ease user in editing configuration and also for functional testing. Since the XBee module pin is 2mm pitch to pitch (is difficult to plug in standard board), you can use SKXBEE as starter kit.

Can this XBee 1mW Wire Antenna - Series 1 communicate with computer instead of microcontroller?

is this XBee 1mW Wire Antenna - Series 1 compatible with FPGA? and can it transmit and receive the signal to or from sensors wirelessly and sent it to FPGA?

IF the FPGA have UART peripheral/interface, and the voltage level is 3.3V, it should be no problem to interface with the XBee. greetings, correct me if i'm wrong.if i am going to transmit and receive message wireless between two microcontrollers, does i have to use 2 pieces of XBee?

Hi.. I want to ask..if we are going to transmit message between tow microcontroller, does this XBee need the SKXBee too? Is it necessary to buy SKXBee also?

It depends :) 1. The Xbee pins are 2mm spacing, but most of board is 2.54mm spacing, so you might have problem integrating the XBee module to your product. 2. Xbee module is 3.3V power and operate, and most of microcontroller are 5V power and operate, you will need a proper 3.3V voltage regulator and logic level shifter for it to work. Hello, just want to know which one is better between xbee s1 and xbee s2.. currently i need to develop a system that capable to monitor the water leak on reservoir tank.. i'm curious which one is most suitable?? just to monitor, no need to control from computer.. tq

S1 is designed for point to point communication, S2 is designed for mesh network ( more point), so you if need only point to point wireless monitoring, get S2, if you need more points, choose S2.
